The Royal Stables hosted the launch of a new edition of the Andalusian Men’s Cup, which will bring together Unicaja Baloncesto, Coviran Granada, Cajasol Coto Córdoba and Insolac Caja 87 at the Vista Alegre Municipal Sports Centre.
Unicaja Mijas youth player Carmen Guillén has decided to stay in Málaga for her first year as a senior player. The young centre has already made 36 appearances for the club’s first team and will now become a full-time member of the squad.
Unicaja’s two new players were presented on Monday as members of the squad for the 2026/27 season. Ignas Brazdeikis and Simonas Lukošius shared their first impressions as players for the Club de Los Guindos, making no secret of their desire to “compete at the highest level”.
The Carpena is the venue for the start of this new chapter for Unicaja. This Thursday, the team coached by Txus Vidorreta began their pre-season training for the 2026/27 season. The Basque coach had the full squad at his disposal, with the exception of Amine Noua, who is on international duty with the French national team. Players from Unicaja Alhaurín de la Torre in the Liga U will also be helping out during these first few days.
Unicaja’s new player was presented to the media on Thursday in the Martín Carpena press room. The American shooting guard emphasised how easy it was to decide to join Málaga, as he wants to “compete for every title, and that’s where I want to be”.
